RayNeo iO takes a narrower approach to smart glasses: there is no camera, speaker, or full-color spatial interface. Instead, a transparent green display keeps notifications, live captions, translation, prompts, and AI responses in view while microphones support notes and an optional all-day audio timeline. Early testers liked the low weight and readable text, but fit, direct-sun visibility, sparse software, paid AI options, and the privacy implications of continuous audio deserve attention.

The quoted 48 hours is typical use, not continuous display or translation time. RayNeo separately lists up to 18 hours of recording and 6.2 hours of continuous translation.
Camera-free does not mean recording-free: Lifelog and meeting features can capture ambient audio. Review consent, workplace, and local recording requirements before enabling them; one supplied-sample tester found the recording indicator difficult for nearby people to notice.
Early testers found text readable indoors and in shade, but direct sun could wash out the green display. Two testers also reported pressure behind the ears or at the nose despite the low weight, so fit and return terms matter.
The RayNeo AI companion app is central to setup and configuration. Some dashboard content was limited or still localized unevenly in early software, and advanced AI models may require a paid subscription.
