Product Overview

Reolink OMVI 3i WiFi puts a panoramic camera and a motorized camera in one outdoor unit. Two upper lenses form the overview; the lower camera can follow a subject or turn toward a point you select. It is a substantial installation that needs an outlet and careful placement.

What Stands Out

The overview remains fixed while the lower camera moves. That arrangement lets you watch a broad driveway or yard and inspect activity without turning the overview away. Reolink's SyncTrack and Auto Framing features coordinate subject tracking and digital framing between the views.

Why It Matters

Reolink gives overview and inspection different jobs within one mounted device. The product makes a useful camera-design tradeoff visible: a wider scene and a moving detail view, with more bulk and software setup to manage.

Best For

People comparing outdoor cameras for a broad driveway or yard with nearby power, who want a fixed overview and a separate view that follows activity.

Not For

Battery-only installations, small discreet mounting positions, or users who need effortless dual-view operation across every recorder and desktop setup.

Things to Know

TechRadar's WiFi test found strong image quality, but occasional faults in the panoramic stitching and stuttering or momentary tracking loss with fast subjects. T3 also found the large body and confusing app demanding. Plan camera placement and privacy masking so the wide view stays within the intended area.

Choose OMVI 3i WiFi carefully: OMVI 3i PoE uses a different network and power setup; OMVI X16 PoE is a different model.

Check the regional adapter, outdoor cable routing and available outlet. The WiFi model requires DC 12V/2A adapter power.

Reolink lists a 202 × 151 × 125mm body weighing 1.1kg without accessories. Allow space for mounting and movement.

Local recording options include a microSD card up to 512GB, compatible Reolink recorders and hubs, or FTP/NAS storage. Confirm the storage hardware you need.

Supported NVR hardware needs firmware 3.6.4 or later to show the tracking view. Older firmware shows only the panorama. Reolink's PC client does not show both views together when connected through an NVR, Home Hub or Home Hub Pro.

Update the camera and Reolink software, and check the current compatibility list before adding it to an existing system. Digital zoom is not optical zoom.
