Product Overview
FiiO M27 is less a pocket player than a transportable audio system. It combines Android streaming, local playback, two microSD slots, three headphone outputs, coaxial and optical routing, USB DAC and host roles, desktop battery bypass, and unusually high externally powered output. The price for that range is physical and literal: it is large, heavy, warm-running, expensive, and based on Android 13.
What Stands Out
M27 brings 3.5mm, 4.4mm, and 6.35mm headphone outputs, coaxial input and output, optical output, three USB-C roles, two microSD slots, battery bypass, and a cooling stand into one device.
Why It Matters
FiiO is treating a portable player as a complete high-end audio system rather than a screen and headphone socket attached to a DAC.
Best For
Headphone listeners with demanding full-size models, large local libraries, and a desk setup that can use the M27's routing and external-power modes.
Not For
Pocket-first listeners, value users, people who want the newest Android platform, or anyone who prefers a light player and a simple USB-C audio chain.
Things to Know
The aluminum version is about 556g and the titanium version about 630g. At 28mm thick, the M27 is better understood as transportable than pocketable.
The 5,000mW + 5,000mW balanced figure applies at 32 ohms in Ultra High Gain mode with fast external power. FiiO lists 2,250mW + 2,250mW in Super High Gain battery operation.
Android 13 is dated for a premium connected player. Check the current firmware, streaming-app compatibility, and update policy before going further.
The CNY 11,999 and CNY 14,999 figures are mainland China launch references for the aluminum and titanium versions. Regional price, bundle, warranty, and distributor support vary.
The battery can be removed, but FiiO says a replacement pack is not sold separately and directs replacement needs to a local distributor.
